This year we decided to do a Whoville type Christmas theme for inside the house. I went a little nuts and after it was all said and done, it really looked like Christmas threw up in our living room.
If you are looking to do something like this, I will give you a little tip so you don’t spend a fortune. Look for items to decorate your tree at Dollar Tree (or any other dollar store). The swirly candy canes you see, I bought from Lowe’s for about $1.50/each and just stuck them right in the tree. The tree topper I made myself. They are individual “picks” used for decorating wreaths and such.
In fact, almost all of the decorations on the tree were bought at the dollar store. I want to say the entire cost to decorate this tree from scratch only cost me about $30 (that doesn’t include ornaments which we already had that are non-Whoville theme that you may see on there!
