Sometimes I call it Christmas Hell! Christmas time around this household is always very hectic. The entire month of December is always rush rush rush. This year I started buying presents in August and yet somehow still did not finish. My husband pulled down all the Christmas stuff from the attic. It is now all over the freaking place waiting to be arranged and put into its proper spot both inside and outside the house.
Upon going through our Christmas decorations I realized I am missing a ton of my inside decorations. What does that mean? Shopping for more. Guess I can do that while I try to get the last of the Christmas presents done. Oh, sweetheart, I need your credit card =)
So in addition to decorating and buying the last of the presents, we have 2 Christmas parties (so far) to attend as well as a Holiday Ball (in which I still need to buy my dress), and Basketball practice 3 times a week with my oldest daughter. Let’s not forget about getting the carpets cleaned, chimney swept and air ducts cleaned as we prepare to hunker down this winter. After our 2 blizzards last year, I am not taking any chances.
Christmas cards, yep still need to get those together and out along with the yearly Christmas family newsletter that goes in them.
I must do all of this while I finish up my last college class so I can graduate before the end of the year. Doing so will complete my goal and this year can end on a happy, accomplished note.
Sometimes I wish I could just disappear for the entire month of December and pop back up New Year’s Eve just to party!

Sounds to me like that New Years idea will be well accepted when it finally rolls around. Best of luck to you for surviving the month of December. A couple of those things you listed could be fun, but most sound like a real drag, especially when you put them all together.
