While we were out hiking this past Sunday we stopped at a geocache named “Fixer Upper” for obvious reasons. After we found the geocache we started to ponder how this car got here and why there were so many bullet holes!
There are no markings on the car to tell what make or model it is. So we started playing name this car by guessing out loud and of course, could not come to an agreement. We are hoping there is a “car expert” out there that can tell us what kind of car this is. Bonus points if you know the year.
Name This Car!
We believe the car probably washed up when the lake flooded, but there’s no way to be sure. There are no roads that lead to where it was found, nor any way to drive to where it was found.
For the record, I am almost positive I know what it is, but my husband the mechanic and former race car owner is disagreeing with me. Hoping someone else will reconfirm what I already know =)
UPDATE: I was right!
Leave us your best guess for how it got there and what kind of car it is in the comments below!
That is so crazy! I’m sure you’re right about it ending up there due to a flood. Maybe you can do a Google reverse image search.
I find so much weird stuff out there hiking! The area may not be scenic and breathtaking like other areas, but it always has surprises =)
Just looking at the front end it looks like a chevy…
Looks like a 60s chevy impala
Close
Its a 11961 Chevrolet
Your close
After searching I know what it is
Do tell
Bridget Carlson yes u was
Let’s put it this way..I was right haha
63 Chevrolet
I’m gonna guess it’s about a 1963 or 64 Plymouth judging by the grill and headlights. I’ll do some research and see if I can find out better what it is though.
I might change my guess to a 63 Chevy Impala http://www.hubcapcafe.com/i1/2003/msra2003/chev6301.jpg
I am almost positive I know what it is, but Jerry disagreed with me when we were out there. Hoping someone else will confirm it. You know…so I can be right lol.
Looks a little more like a 63 ford 2 me
I have no guesses, but what a fun find! Especially with bullet holes, it’d be fun to make up a story of how it got there. Also, I’ve always wanted to try Geocaching, but doubt find cool stuff like this!
Oh my gosh, I know I’m not supposed to say this, but that’s so creepy! If it was in the lake, how did it get there? I have so many questions now!
You and me both!!!!
