I received the Busy Mom’s Guide to Parenting Teens book in the mail several weeks ago and had all 207 pages read within a day. I have 4 children ranging in age from 9 – 17 years old, two boys and two girls. With 4 kids, running my own business, and being a Military Wife, I don’t have all the time in the world to read books (although I do dream of the day that will happen).
Although I would like to think I still remember what it’s like to be a teenager, the sad truth is my views then on the world around me, and my views now are so very different. Trying to remember at what age I crossed different milestones? You can forget it! So maybe I am not as “in tune” as I thought.
This book has been a tremendous help in “bringing back those memories”, as well as offering great advice on raising a teen. Everything from what and when to expect puberty to how to talk to your teen about drugs. It’s all in this easy-to-read Q&A format book. That’s right, this book is laid out in Q&A format for easy reading and easy reference. Written by Dr. Paul C. Reisser, M.D. a family physician.
