Welcome to Antics of a Nutty Hiker!

Hiking Antics

Welcome to my wild, crazy, and sometimes unbelievable hiking adventures! Whether you are here to read my wild stories, find a hike here in the central Texas area, or get the 411 on hiking and hiking gear, I am sure you will enjoy your wasted time here. =)
I am Bridget, a Military Wife stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. I started hiking because it’s something I have always loved to do. When we bought our house here in Harker Heights, Texas, the fact there were over 15 miles of hiking trails about 5 minutes away was a huge selling point! Bonus points to us for deciding to also retire here!

I am always told there is nothing to do at Fort Hood. Apparently, those individuals never leave their house! There is a ton of stuff to do in the area, you just need to get outside.

So sit back, grab a cup of coffee (unless you plan on hiking, then do not, I repeat, do not drink that cup otherwise you will need to take a pee break every 10 minutes), and enjoy my crazy antics on the hiking trail and while I am out exploring Texas.

Give me a holler!

Hey, if you have something to say to me (and frankly who doesn’t), either leave me a comment on one of the pages here or connect with me on:

Find me on the trails!

Did you meet me on the trails somewhere? Chances are I made you take a picture with me! It’s become a ritual since I started hiking here and you can find all my pictures of the people I run into here on the blog. If you have a picture (or video, yikes!) you want to share (maybe you caught me randomly breaking out a dance move), feel free to message them to me. Right now the best way to do that is through Facebook.
