Welcome to Antics of a Nutty Hiker!

Hiking Antics

Welcome to my wild, crazy, and sometimes unbelievable hiking adventures! Whether you are here to read my wild stories, find a hike here in the central Texas area, or get the 411 on hiking and hiking gear, I am sure you will enjoy your wasted time here. =)

I am Bridget, a Military Wife whose husband is stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, the author of Dear Military Spouse, and the Editor/Journalist for the Harker Heights Evening Star (local newspaper for those not in the area). You can read more about me here.

The biggest complaint I hear about the Fort Hood area is that there is nothing to do. Apparently, those individuals never leave the house! There is a ton of stuff to do in the area, you just need to get outside. So in addition to my hiking adventures, you will also find posts about things to do in the Central Texas / Fort Hood area!

So sit back, grab a cup of coffee and enjoy my crazy antics on the hiking trail and while I am out exploring Texas.

Find me on the trails!

Did you meet me on the trails somewhere? Chances are I made you take a picture with me! It’s become a ritual since I started hiking here and you can find all my pictures of the people I run into here on the blog. If you have a picture (or video, yikes!) you want to share (maybe you caught me randomly breaking out a dance move), feel free to message them to me. Right now the best way to do that is through Facebook.
