When it rains it pours or I guess I should say when it snows it falls! Made it through the blizzard. Jerry got home finally. His truck, however, did not arrive home with him. He made it to the corner of our street where he bottomed out in the snow (mind you this truck has a lift on it!). He was in the middle of the street, and the snow on the sides of the street near the curbs was much higher so he had to pull some fast and furious moves to park the truck next to the curb. Once he parked, he opened the door to realize that the snow was even with his door. He then got out and proceeded to walk the rest of the way home in thigh-high snow!
We spent the rest of the day waiting for the snow to end. It finally did around 1500. The kids immediately wanted to go outside. Sure kids let’s go play outside where it is 10 degrees and you have to swim in snow that comes up to your waist.
Of course when I said no, I am now the “mean” mom. They did however get to go out yesterday and we ALL played in it. Much of the snow in the backyard had drifted away, so I figured that was probably the safest area. My daughter did get some great video of me making my husband do a face plant in the snow
So we made it through just fine. We were one of the lucky ones whose electricity did not go out. I still can’t make it out of the driveway. The good news is that tomorrow they are predicting 10-20 more inches of this white crap (I know this might be hard to notice but I am being sarcastic about the “good news” part). We already have about 25 inches on the ground and mother nature wants to add more to it?!?!
When it snows it falls! This is my new saying!!
