This post and giveaway are sponsored by Surviveware. All opinions are always my own!
We have a super cool giveaway this month, you can enter below after the review section. I am super excited to get a chance to review the Surviveware Survival First Aid Kit this week. It’s not just any regular first aid kit. Surviveware is all about providing useful first aid kits for outdoor enthusiasts.
What I Am Reviewing
Today I am reviewing the Surviveware Survival First Aid Kit. Just like the title suggests, it has just about everything you would need to help you in the backcountry during a survival situation. My husband who is an EMT will also give his opinion on this kit. When we hike, he is the one to carry most of the medical gear and of course has the most medical training.
So you will hear from me (a non-medical person, although I do have some medical training) and my husband (a Texas and National Registery certified EMT).

What We Liked
Labeled Compartments – This feature is very helpful in finding items quickly for my husband when he is calling out for stuff. He likes how everything is labeled and easily accessible. When emergencies happen, every second counts. You definitely don’t want to waste them digging around for stuff.
Small in Size – For the amount of items within this kit, it is compact and small in size. It definitely won’t take up a lot of room.
MOLLE Compatible – He really likes the fact that it is MOLLE compatible so it can hook to different types of tactical vests or backpacks.
Heavy Duty Knife – The included knife is heavy duty and definitely very well built. This is not some piece of junk.
Baggies for personal medicine – It comes with individual small baggies labeled as personal medication for you to keep your own medication in.
CPR Kit – Every first aid should contain a first aid kit! This kit also has a quick CPR reference direction with the kit.
Different Ways to Carry – There are multiple ways to carry this, whether via MOLLE, using the included strap, or just carrying by the handle.
What to Improve
From my perspective – I honestly didn’t find really anything to improve other than including a packing list of items.
From his perspective – He would like to see a fire starter such as a Ferro rod, and a clotting agent like QuikClot or combat gauze. He would also like to see some zip strips in there, while there are butterfly bandages in the kit, zip strips work much better for larger gashes. Additionally, he would like to see an inventory list included with every kit.
Mine – The Surviveware Survival First Aid Kit is lightweight for the amount of contents, easy to carry, and includes just about everything you might need in a survival situation.
His – Overall a great survival first aid kit that would work well for camping, hiking, RVing, trail riding, or anywhere you will be where help will not be immediately available.
