Ripley’s Believe It or Not | San Antonio Texas

Posted January 11, 2017 / Last Updated February 24, 2022 Tags: Attractions, Museums, Odd & Wacky

We love visiting San Antonio and this past Christmas we took the kids for their first stay on the Riverwalk. While we were there we decided to take them to do the normal “tourist trap” attractions, since we knew they love that kind of stuff. The first one being Ripley’s Believe it or Not San Antonio

Ripley's Believe It or Not San Antonio

What we love about the one in San Antonio is that it is connected with 2 other attractions. You can buy a combo ticket to get you into all 3 for one low price. The ticket is good all day, meaning you can visit over and over again if you want.

There are a ton of photo opportunities, so make sure to bring your camera. It’s one of the largest that we have been to at 18,000 square feet spread over 3 stories with over 500 artifacts and exhibits.

Our Thoughts

I will say that if you have been to one, then you pretty much know what will be inside this one. While they don’t always have the same exact items in each museum, for the most part when you have seen one, you have seen all.

However, our kids like doing stuff like this. Plus, seeing all the odd and weird artifacts never get’s old (for the most part). If you have never been to one, you definitely should!

Buy the combo ticket and visit all 3 “attractions”. When we went the ticket was good for all day and you could go through it as many times as you wanted during that same day.

If you will be in San Antonio for a couple of days, I would suggest the visit. If you are there for just the day, I’d skip it and instead visit the missions and the Alamo and spend your time learning about the history of San Antonio. Those are much more enjoyable and have a bigger ahhhh factor!
