Pinhoti Trail Day 23: Slackpacked 14 miles
Today, we slackpacked from the start of the Heflin Spur to Pine Glen Campground for 14 miles! We also had a pretty good pace, about 3 mph.
Today’s trail was nice, although much of it was that narrow ridge walk.
We took a snack break at the Shoal Creek Shelter. It was a nice shelter, although I didn’t see many tent site areas. But, then again, this trail isn’t as busy as the Appalachian Trail. It does have a very nice waterfall.

We finally ran into other hikers about 2 miles from the Pine Glen Campground. They refer to themselves as The Golden Oldies. It was really nice seeing other people on the trail.

Pinhoti Trail Day 24: Zero Day; Waiting out a Storm
Today was a zero day while we waited for this storm to pass. As luck would have it, the worst part of it happened much further north, so we just got rain. Go figure. The video for today just talks about what gear we have changed out this far.
