We (yes I say we in this case, considering it means all of us will be moving) got our orders today! June 10th is the report date for Fort Lee. We are so excited! It is about a month to month and half earlier than what they had told us the move date would be, so that makes me even more excited. I am so ready to leave Maryland behind. It’s been fun, but it’s time to go!
So the PCS countdown has finally begun. I will be keeping a blog of our PCS adventure in hopes that it may help other spouses who have not been through it before.
So we have our orders, now it’s time to make a to do list, and this list is going to be long. If you haven’t checked out the PCS section, now would be a good time to! In making my checklist, I will make a pdf form of it as well to upload to the PCS section, so keep an eye out for that.
First, even before the checklist, is deciding on if we will do a TMO, DITY, or partial DITY move. We are choosing to do a partial DITY since there is a lot of stuff we just do not want the movers to move.
Now it’s on to making the to-do checklist. Wish me luck and hope that I do not forget anything. This isn’t my first rodeo, but it never fails I always forget something up until the very last minute!
