Great day for a 5 miler

August 19, 2014 by Nutty Hiker Last Modified: May 9, 202311 Comments

It was a great day for a 5 miler! My hike this morning turned into a 5-mile hike, which was a good thing since I am behind on my miles and need to do some catching up! A total of 5.09 hiked today!

My August 19, 2014 hike at dana peak park

Also, the Ft. Hood Fisher House is having a Hero & Remembrance Run, Walk or Roll on
November 1, 2, 14 at 6:00 AM. I created a group for everyone to sign up under that may be doing it as a way to rack up miles for Miles 4 3CR RSS =) I know I need to rack up more miles!

Here’s the description I put: The “Traveling Bronzed Boots” are up for grabs, let for family and friends know to join our team so we can be honored to received them this year for the Soldiers of 3CR that are deployed right now! In addition to the traveling boots, this is a great way to log more miles for Miles For 3CR RSS Soldiers .

If you are interested in signing up under our group here is the link to the Eventbrite page: Eventbrite Miles 4 RSS

Don’t forget to post your miles that you logged into the comments section below so I can add them to the log!

Veronica, go ahead and register just in case (it’s free) if you think you might be able to make it. I hate early mornings, lol.

What a great opportunity to honor those who serve and remember the cost of liberty in our country. We live in crazy times, but by grace we push through. Thanks for the invite, I will share this opportunitg with some spouses of deployed soldiers and get back with u! :D

That would be awesome Kēhau! It’s a free event and they don’t have to actually walk with me, they can run. They just need to make sure and register under the Miles 4 RSS team name (group) :)
