Going to be one of those days

January 14, 2010 by Nutty Hiker Last Modified: October 3, 20171 Comment

Going to be one of those days! I woke up with a headache this morning. That is never a good sign! I’ve been trying to get the kids up and ready for school for the last 45 minutes. Usually they don’t give me any trouble, but as the title says, it’s one of those days. They are now up and headed out the door to the bust stop (which is right across the street from us, lol). I must say we got lucky when we rented this house. We had no idea where the bus stop was.

Anyway, so this weekend is a 96. For those non-military folks that means they get a 4 day weekend. But for my husband it will only be a 72 (3 day). Why? Well thats because on Friday he has duty! We got so jipped! So he will go in at 8am on Friday morning and I won’t see him again until Saturday morning at 8am. Now because he has to stay awake for 24 hours that means Saturday he will sleep most of the day. So in reality he really is only getting a normal weekend. I’m sorry but I think if you have to pull duty over a 96, 72 or hell even a weekend, you should be given an extra day off.

Ok off my lil soap box about that. So the kids are now off to school, I have a splitting headache, and my usual household chores still left to do. In addition to that I also have to run some errands. Which I am not looking forward to. Why? Because its 21 freaking degrees outside. That’s why.

Ahh the life of a military wife.

Like I said, Grab The Soldier, go have lunch anyplace you want, ship the Camaro to me and Kristin will pick up the bill…..It’s the VERY least I can do in a situation like this…and try to order off the “value menu” if you could, Kristin is gonna send the bill to jerry…
