BougeRV Auto Door Step Review

What I am Reviewing

Today I am reviewing the BougeRV Auto Door Step. This doorstep allows you to easily reach your roof, no matter if it is a car, SUV, or large truck.

BougeRV Auto Door step attached to my truck

Specs at a Glance

Item Weight: 2.92 lbs
Material: Aluminium
Weight Limit: 450 lbs
Universal Fit to fit different types of vehicles
Size: 8.66*3.39*3.15 inch
Price: $49.99

What I Liked

Rotating Rubber Feet: The rubber foot (or bumper) at the end of the step, rotates 90 degrees to allow the step top to fit various door jams.

Easy install: The BougeRV Auto Door Step easily installs in less than a minute and doesn’t require any tools.

Rubber Hook: The hook that goes onto the door latch is covered by rubber so it won’t scratch your latch.

Perfect size: The step is 7″ long so plenty wide to keep your foot from falling off.

Versatile: Works on multiple types of vehicles. So I can use it on both my truck and SUV with no issues.

What to Improve

Storability: It is pretty bulky compared to others I have seen on the market. I’d like to see a design that allows it to be folded up so it stores easier and doesn’t take up as much room.

Rubber Grips: I would like to see rubber grips on the step itself for those of us that wear non-rubberized soles. When wearing my cowboy boots, I felt like my foot could slide off, this would have been even more prevalent if say it was raining or my boots were muddy. I did not have this issue when wearing my running shoes.

Overall Impression

A must-have if you have a larger SUV or truck or for those who are into Overlanding. This step makes it easy to reach your roof area with ease. It feels super sturdy when standing on it with a great grip if you are wearing rubber soles.

Where to Buy the BougeRV Auto Door Step

I haven’t been able to find it on Amazon, but you can buy it off their website.
