BAIST Skin Liners 2.0 / Glove Liner Review

May 23, 2022 by Nutty Hiker Last Modified: July 18, 20222 Comments

This post is sponsored by BAIST. All opinions are always my own and are never influenced by any free product I receive or relationship I may have with a company.

I am so excited BAIST reached out to me about reviewing their glove liners called the BAIST Skin Liners 2.0. They also sent me a pair of motorcycle gloves for my husband to review (so be on the lookout for that).

I love gloves and liners while hiking in cooler/cold weather but always have a hard time finding ones that either fit my hand or are comfortable. So basically, I am always on the lookout for new liners and gloves to try out.

What I am Reviewing

Today I get to review the BAIST Skin Liners 2.0 glove liners. While they were primarily made to be used as glove liners on the slopes, they work perfectly as stand-alone gloves in cooler weather for hikers and runners.

BAIST (pronounced BAY-st) has been in business since the Winter of 2017-2018 and was founded by Ace Jonas, a lifelong skier, and boarder, who also has Raynauds (improper circulation to fingertips). They do not have a physical store and sell strictly online in order to keep costs down, which are then passed on to the consumer.

BAIST Skin Liners 2.0 Specs at a Glance

  • Extreme moisture-wicking and heat sealing.
  • Touch screen compatible.
  • Built-in natural arch to match the shape of your fingers.
  • Nano-stitching for durability.
  • Weight: 1.55 oz

What I Liked

Touch screen compatible – I love the fact that each thumb and index finger are touch screen compatible since I do a lot of videoing and picture taking while outdoors. Most gloves will either only have it on one hand or only on the index finger. These have it on both gloves and on both sides of the index and thumb.

Soft & comfortable – the BAIST skin liners 2.0 are incredibly soft and feel like a second pair of skin. They are not itchy like others and feel great.

The right fit – I am a woman with not-so-dainty hands and finding gloves is always hard because of how long my fingers are. But, I used their sizing guide so the glove that I received fit my hand just like a …..well….glove!

Warmth – My hands get cold pretty easily (as do my feet) thanks to my hypothyroidism. The gloves were great for the cooler weather (40-50 degrees) when wearing both a liner and glove would have been way too much. Others may find that they work perfectly even in 30-degree weather.

Lightweight – These things are super lightweight which is an added bonus when on longer hikes where every ounce counts. Plus they also feel light as a feather while on.

What to Improve

I honestly couldn’t think of much to improve on. I did receive these towards the end of the cooler season and will give them a full-on test run this coming winter when it gets cooler here in Texas, so I will be able to tell you how durable they are.

More colors – Ok, I know y’all get tired of hearing me say this. Currently, the BAIST Skin Liners 2.0 are only offered in one color. I would like to see multiple colors offered.

Overall Impression

Overall the BAIST skin liners 2.0 are the perfect glove liner and stand-alone glove for cooler seasons where a heavy glove would be too hot, but going gloveless would be too cold. They are lightweight, feel great on, and the fact that they are touchscreen compatible makes these the perfect glove liner.

Where to Buy

You can buy BAIST skin liner gloves directly from their website.

I just wanted to thank you for your review. I have ordered the liners but have not yet received them. That being said, I do own a pair of the Baist Classic gloves and I absolutely love them. They are the best Winter gloves I have ever owned. I was looking at the liners and did a search for reviews which brought me to your site. I appreciate the detail you put into your review.

Have the Classic gloves and the Skin 2.0 liners. I use the liners in 25 degree or so weather when I have to shovel the steps to the house etc. Found them warm and very comfortable. When I evaluate whatever I’ve purchased, I always think…..would I purchase these items again if needed? Absolutely.
