So I had my husband take a picture of me when we went hiking last. I knew I had gained some weight because I do try to step on the scale at least weekly. I knew the fatness was starting to happen; I just didn’t realize the extent of the fatness.
Many of you may not know or remember, but a little over a year ago my hiking journey came to a halt when I started getting sick (the doctors still cannot explain it) by randomly vomiting. For those that don’t know me well, I can handle any amount of pain you throw at me (except tooth pain, then I am a baby), I can handle blood and guts and even piss and poop. I cannot however handle vomit or spit!
It’s even worse when the vomit is coming from me. I will turn into the biggest baby ever. Ok not really, but vomiting is the one thing that will keep me bed ridden. The GI eventually diagnosed me with some long name condition (it is basically IBS but instead of the bowels and coming out the ass end, it’s the stomach and comes out the top end); lucky me!
I have spent the last year learning what sets it off and trying to control it (I of course also have medication that I take when needed).
Anyway, due to this and being extremely tired constantly I had to stop hiking for a while. I went from hiking daily to not hiking at all.
Do you know what that caused? It caused fatness. I have gained 20 pounds since I stopped hiking. Of course all the fast food I have been eating may have not helped either.
I didn’t realize how much fatness it caused until my husband took the following picture of me:
I am not sure why I decided to make a blog post about this other than I want to be held accountable! I will lose this weight again. I will eat healthier. I will hike more! I will stop the fatness!
The End.
Until next time, happy hiking!

I know all too well. I gained 3lbs by not going on long walks with the dogs for 3 days because of all the snow! Good news is I lost it again after the snow stopped and the shoveling began.

You’re not fat! But I understand what you mean for sure!
