5.5 Miles today

August 10, 2014 by Nutty Hiker 21 Comments

Only did 5.5 miles today or I should say this morning. I have never seen so many people on the trails! Hoping some of them plan on coming back and logging their miles! Speaking of…get those miles in. I will be releasing the new totals in the morning! Great job everyone!

So while I was on the trail today, I realized that I always have a go to song that will immediately pump me up and get me going.

So what is your go to song to get pumped up? Mine is footloose! Every time I hear that song I can’t help but hike faster and maybe do a little dance on the trail. It keeps my body moving and just puts me in an overall good mood!

I actually have a hiking playlist. Some songs will get your heart pumping and others are slower, which many find odd. But, I use those slow songs to give me a break and allow me to rest and recover a bit, especially if I am hiking at a faster pace than normal.

Anyway, comment below with your go-to song and give me some ideas on more songs I should add to my playlist while I am on the trail!

Juan no they don’t. I may start a log for cyclers since there seems to be a few that would like to participate but this is for miles where your feet are on the ground (walking, hiking, running, etc) aka boots on the ground.
