VA-ACME offers scholarship money to Military and their spouses

The Virginia Advisory Council on Military Education (VA-ACME) is offering scholarships to individuals in the Military and their spouses. You must meet the following criteria in order to apply:

• Active Duty, Drilling Reservist or National Guard
• Spouse or Child of Active Duty, drilling reservist, National Guard member, or military retiree
• Permanently Disabled Military Member or Family Member (Spouse or Child) or Family Member of Service Member Missing in Action (MIA) or Killed in Action (KIA)
• Veteran or Retiree of the Armed Forces residing or working in Virginia

And

• Members of the VA-ACME Board and their families are not eligible

VA-ACME Required Documentation

1. VA-ACME Scholarship Application form
2. Unofficial transcript(s)
3. Two letters of recommendation from academia, professional, or community member who can attest to your motivation, character, and integrity
4. Evidence of eligibility to enroll (institutions letter of acceptance or registration)
5. Statement of community service (found in body of application)
6. Complete an Essay topic
