For our first full day, we decided to ride Spearfish Canyon and then head into Deadwood. However, we first stopped in Sturgis to get our obligatory picture in front of the Sturgis sign.
The ride was down Spearfish Canyon was beautiful.
From Spearfish Canyon, we headed into Deadwood to do a quick drive through Downtown Deadwood before heading back to Sturgis to check out the new Gas Monkey Garage. We had hoped to eat there, but seating was limited as he was still trying to get everything in order before the official kick off for Sturgis began. When I say he, I do actually mean him. He was there changing out lightbulbs, climbing ladders, and working to get the place ready.
But he wasn’t too busy to talk with anyone who came up to chat and meet him. So that was pretty cool.
