The Seven Laws of Love Book Review

The Seven Laws of Love by Dave Willis is a must read book for those that may be struggling with allowing love into your life, or those who want to learn to love more completely and build stronger relationships with all those around you.

Mr. Willis takes you through the seven laws of love and then shows you how to put those laws into action in your own life with your spouse, family, neighbors, friends, enemies (yes enemies,) yourself and your creator.

What I love most about this book is that the author (a pastor) not only gives you step by step instructions on implementing these laws of love into your own life, but also real life examples.

At the end of each chapter, he gives discussion questions to ask yourself which really helps you dig deep into your soul to help change your way of thinking in order to build those stronger relationships.

While this book is Christian based, (and I am a Christian even though I have not always been,) I believe anyone from any faith could easily read it and implement it into their own lives.

From the back cover:

In our fast-paced, success-obsessed culture, we’re constantly tempted to chase after things that don’t matter. We’ve been conditioned to value possessions over people, status over relationships, and ourselves over God.

But the reality is this: God created love to be the centerpiece of our lives.

In The Seven Laws of Love, Dave Willis makes the case for a love revival and proves that in returning to a life of love we have no greater model than the one who is love himself.

In Dave’s humorous, touching, down-to-earth style, The Seven Laws of Love takes you on a journey through the ins and outs of everyday relationships—with your spouse, your children, your friends, and your coworkers—using practical, applicable examples and guiding principles that demonstrate what a life of love actually looks like.

There is no higher calling on earth than to love and be loved. It’s time to learn The Seven Laws of Love, and to make loving a priority over all other pursuits. Anything else isn’t really living.
