Pinhoti Trail Day 9 and we are headed into town for our first zero.
We got up early so we could start making our way to Porter’s Gap, where David, our trail angel, was going to pick us up. The space in between my shoulders has started to hurt. I can only assume it’s because of the water carry.
Had some really pretty views today, despite there being graffiti all over the rocks.
We made our way down to the water source (the first one in 14 miles), filled up, and then had to cross the creek a couple of times before heading to Porter’s Gap, where we picked up. Pretty easy day.
Once we got to town, we decided to go ahead and get our resupply done and met up with Hot Sloth for dinner.
Day 10: Zero Day
Today was a zero-day; we did a whole bunch of nothing today. I got all my town chores done yesterday, so all I did today was lay in bed and rest. My body is feeling great, except for that sharp pain in between my shoulders. I feel like something is pinched. I did end up having a CVS episode last night before going to bed. That sucked, but glad it didn’t happen on trail.
