NoBox Tape Light Review

December 11, 2019 by Nutty Hiker Last Modified: February 18, 20221 Comment

This NoBox Tape Light post & giveaway is sponsored by NoBox Tools LLC.

NoBox contacted me last month about reviewing a couple of pieces of their gear. One being their Tape Light which is a portable light and LED strip. Good news! One lucky reader will get their own free Tape Light, you can enter below!

NoBox Tape Light

My first impression: What a cute little do-dad (y’all know I just love gadgets!). They sent me two different colors (the casing, not the light itself).

Next, I noticed how lightweight it was. I was honestly expecting it to be heavier and more meant for car camping or other outdoor use. Not something that would be used for hiking and backpacking; I was wrong!

On my scale, it comes in at 1.80 oz with the lanyard and 1.73 oz without. The sucker is also nice and bright on high and my favorite part is that it is rechargeable. I much prefer rechargeable items over those that need batteries that have to be replaced.

There is also a charging light to let you know when it is fully charged (which only takes 2 hours BTW)!

Overall, a great little light to have while backpacking, camping, or even just around the house!

What I didn’t like

Honestly, I didn’t find anything that I didn’t like about it. But since I always force myself to find something I would like changed, I would have to say that I would like to see different light color options offered (such as daylight and red). Or maybe an all in one that would let you choose what color you want to use. I think that would be an outstanding feature to have!
