Lone Star Hiking Trail Gear List

February 11, 2019 by Nutty Hiker Last Modified: April 21, 2020Leave a Comment

So I made the announcement a couple of months ago that both my 16-year-old son and I will be hiking the Lone Star Hiking Trail this coming March as a way for me to do a gear shakedown of the items I will be taking with me on my thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail February 2020.

I am going to list both my items as well as my son’s so you can get an idea of what we will be taking. Since there really are no resupply points along this trail, we will have to carry a lot of food with us. The plan is to complete it in 8 days or less, so that means we will have to average about 12.5 miles a day which I think is really doable for us.

So without further ado, here is our Lone Star Hiking Trail gear list!
