Well, he is now “in the box” at NTC, as they call it. I laugh every time I hear that!
He will be without a phone during this time (roughly 2 weeks) as they are not allowed to have phones or computers out there. This is the time in which they “go play war” as my Mom likes to call it. Honestly it was the easiest way I could explain to her what the were doing and what NTC was.
I have not heard from him since Thursday evening, so almost 48 hours and it is definitely weird. I typically hear from him constantly through the day no matter what he is doing (whether he’s at work, in the field, or just out running errands).
On a side note, I have been able to get a ton done in the last almost 48 hours lol. My phone is never quiet, so not hearing it constantly go off with text messages is very odd.
Yesterday after work I went for a 3 mile hike and got a lot done needed around the house that I have put off. We just had our rood replaced and that was complete on Thursday morning! Just a couple more things to repair and our insurance claim that we started before he left for NTC will be complete!
I am counting down the days until his return!
