We headed to the Austin Aquarium today. When we first pulled up, my first impression was “how good can this possibly be? It’s in a strip mall.”
On our way there we stopped to eat Zaxby’s which was our favorite spot to eat when we were stationed in Georgia. This is the closest one to the house and fairly new. Up until recently they were mostly located in the east.
Anyway, the Austin Aquarium was a pleasant surprise. Definitely don’t let the size of it fool you. It is well worth the money spent. You can feed just about everything in there, although I think everyone’s favorite was feeding at petting the sting rays.
It get’s 5 stars for having a great “flow”. You definitely won’t miss anything or have to back track. While there is no food court for humans, as long as you eat before hand you should be fine as the place is small and can be easily toured in an hour (or less depending how long you spend at each tank.)
It’s definitely worth the visit.
