Best Travel & Outdoors Magazines

June 29, 2017 by Nutty Hiker Last Modified: April 6, 2022Leave a Comment

For those that know me, know that I LOVE magazines, but I am not really into what the latest celebrity is doing or what the latest fashion is. I am all about traveling, the great outdoors and RV/Camping life.

With that being said, here are some of my all-time favorites travel and outdoor magazines! Click magazine image for more information.

1. National Geographic Traveler
Published by the National Geographic Society, National Geographic Traveler pairs a love for the remarkable and exotic with a practical look at travel for every level of vacationer. Readers will get amazing photography and stories of some of the rarest, most beautiful places in the world.

Every monthly issue features articles that highlight travel destinations, technical information, motorhome components and upgrades, RV model specifications, recreational vehicle maintenance tips, and equipment reviews.

4. Outside Magazine
Outside magazine is a useful guide to the always-exhilarating world outside. It motivates people to participate in outdoor activities through award-winning coverage of the sports, people, places, adventures, discoveries, environmental issues, health and fitness, gear and apparel, trends and events that define the active lifestyle.

5. National Geographic
National Geographic is the world’s favorite science and nature magazine and has been published continuously since its initial issue in 1888. The official magazine of the National Geographic Society, it is known for its striking photos, in-depth looks at global cultures and traditions, and for its insights into human history and development.

6. National Parks Magazine
National Parks magazine teaches readers how to care for and enjoy national parks across America. Each issue is filled with conservation tips, travel suggestions and more. Based on the mission statement of the National Parks Conservation Association, the magazine believes that national parks are “windows to our past, homes to some of our rarest plants and animal species, and places where every American can go to find inspiration, peace and open space.”
