Made it to Fort Lee & Hurricane Irene

August 27, 2011 by Nutty Hiker Last Modified: March 29, 20163 Comments

It’s been several months since I have posted a new entry. I have spent the past couple of months getting our house and businesses back in order after the PCS. I have also moved my blog back over to my own domain here, so make sure you bookmark it!

We love our house! It has plenty of room and nice hardwood floors downstairs. The kids are enrolled in sports (cheerleading & football). They haven’t started school yet. School doesn’t start until September 6th here. We also have a new puppy, a black lab named Coco. She is such a sweetheart.

Anyway, I do plan on making all my blog posts here from now on. It will still be syndicated (excerpts) on USMC Hangout but the full posts will be located here.

As I am typing this I am riding out Hurricane Irene. =) The wind is starting to really pick up. The strongest part of the storm is not expected to reach us until around 5-6pm tonight and will last into the overnight hours. I will keep my blog updated as it happens. I will post more frequent updates on Twitter and Facebook, so make sure you are following me =)
