Today, we hiked from Hwy 281 to Whitley Jean Campsite. It wasn’t a bad day at all. The Total Ascent for the day was 781.2ft, and the total descent was 2,020.3ft! Wowzers! So, we basically went downhill most of the day.
I had my first actual fall today, meaning I wasn’t able to catch myself and landed straight on my butt after attempting to do the splits.
We also had our first real water crossing of the day. I managed to keep my feet dry.
We got to camp kind of early, which was nice. We were able to eat supper without rushing and set up camp well before the rain started.
