Today was my parents’ anniversary, so we stayed close to the hotel as they wanted to go out to eat for supper and then to Sturgis for a concert.

Our ride today was to Chapel in the Hills (how appropriate for their anniversary, lol). Since it wasn’t very far from our hotel, we decided to sleep in a bit before heading out.

Jerry and I have been to Chapel in the Hills before. It is an amazing wooden structure that is an active chapel.

They also have a log cabin museum that I highly suggest you check out while you are there.

Of course, you can also visit the visitor center and gift shop and make a donation if you wish.

Once we finished looking around and buying some memorabilia from the gift shop, we ate lunch, then headed back to the hotel for a nap before dinner and what we planned to be a late night in Sturgis since it was the first official day of the rally.

We were hoping to do some people-watching after the concert, but unfortunately, we arrived just as the band was packing up. OOPS!
