It’s that time of year again where we take a month long vacation to travel the United States.
Unlike last year, where we traveled over 5000 miles up and down the western United States, our trip this year will take us all over Texas! After all, Texas is pretty much it’s own country right?
We will leave on July 5, and will complete our trip July 31. During this time I will update my blog and Facebook with pictures along the way and much like last time, will have readers trying to guess where we are.
The main portion of our trip will have us at Guadalupe Mountain National Park for about a week. During that time, it is doubtful that I will have cell reception but you better believe my blog, facebook, and instagram accounts will blow up with pictures as soon as I get reception back.
We plan on doing a lot of hiking while we are camping at Guadalupe Mountain National Park.
On our way to the park and on our way back home, we will be stopping at several places and point of interests along the way. Some of those include the Odessa Meteor Crater, Fort Stockton Old Cemetery, Fort Lancaster State Historical Site, Caverns of Sonora, Rattlesnake Bomber Base, as well as several other locations.
Once we have completed that trip (and after getting some rest) we will head down to Corpus Christi to tour the USS Lexington and several other places. That portion of our trip has yet to be planned, however, I am working on it!
To stay up to date and watch us as we travel, please make sure you have connected with me on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Do you have any suggestions for places we should stop and check out? I will blog about each and every place we check out, with plenty of pictures. I would love suggestions for bizarre stops, ghost towns, haunted places, or other unique places that many may not know about! Just send an email.
