A list of other useful websites for you to check out before your PCS, if you know of any more, please comment below and I will get them added:

Defense Table of Official Distances – To calculate the distance from where you live now to where you will PCS.

DOD Per Diem, Travel and Transportation Allowance Committee

Military HOMEFRONT – Official DOD website. Lots of checklists, etc.. to help the move go easier.

It’s Your Move Booklet – From transom.mil

Firearm Laws – Firearm laws for all states.

Military Housing Links

When looking for housing, make sure you are looking in the right branch of service. If you are a Marine who will be stationed on an Army post (yes this happens) don’t look under Marine Corps housing. You will need to look under Army Housing.

You can find almost every branch of service on every post/base. So if it is an Army post you are moving to, look under Army Housing. If it is a Marine Corps base you are moving to look under Marine Corps Housing, etc…

Army Housing – This is the official link to the Army Housing One Stop site. This site lists all housing links on Army posts. Its actually a very neat site. They even have floor plans.

Navy & Marine Corps Housing – This is the official link to the Navy & Marine Corps Housing One Stop.
