The summer heat has finally left, well at least for today anyway. Even though I waited until late morning to hike, it was only 58 degrees when I started out. Needless to say this Texas girl had to break out the beanie, long running pants, and long sleeve cover up (I have no idea what to call it really, because it’s not a jacket, but not a sweatshirt either). Oh and gloves, lets not forget my gloves. =)
About a mile in, the beanie came off. 2 miles in and the long sleeve cover up came off and was tied around my waist. I knew I would warm up once I started going, hence the reason I didn’t wear anything heavier! Hey it’s Texas y’all, anything below 70 is freezing and requires full winter gear!
Did a long hike (13.26 miles) and it felt amazing. I would have liked to of gone longer, but it was getting really close to dinner time and I could hear my kids in the back of my head screaming they are hungry (even though they are all very capable of making their own dang dinner, heck I even left a car for them to use).
